Aussie star Chris Holder roared into top form for Lejonen, scoring 16 points as the Lions held Smederna to a 45-45 draw in the Swedish Elitserien on Tuesday night.

The Sydneysider has had an up-and-down season for the Lions, but produced a commanding display from six rides in Eskilstuna. He was nicely supported by 11 paid 12 from former world No.2 Jaroslaw Hampel and nine paid 11 from Kacper Woryna.

World Championship challenger Freddie Lindgren was Smederna’s top performer on 10 points, with Niels-Kristian Iversen adding eight paid nine, including a victory in the last race which rescued a point for his team.

World champion Jason Doyle powered to 14 points for Rospiggarna as they earned a 49-41 triumph at home to Masarna.

The Aussie was aided by nine paid 11 from compatriot Max Fricke, plus eight paid nine from Adrian Flux British SGP wild card Robert Lambert and club legend Andreas Jonsson.

World Championship leader Tai Woffinden returned to action for the visitors after missing last week’s fixture due to unpaid invoices. He raced to 12 points along with Antonio Lindback.

Bartosz Zmarzlik and Leon Madsen led a dominant Vetlanda performance as they blazed to a 57-33 victory at home to Indianerna. Tomas H Jonasson tallied 10 paid 11, while Artem Laguta scored seven paid eight. Czech racer Vaclav Milik was Indians’ top scorer on 12.

In the day’s other meeting, American icon Greg Hancock led the Dackarna charge on 11 points as they triumphed 56-34 at home to neighbours Vastervik. Maciej Janowski also impressed on 10 paid 12, while Patryk Dudek picked up seven paid nine.

Triple world champion Nicki Pedersen topped the Vastervik scorechart on 13 paid 15, with Peter Ljung just behind on 13 paid 14.
