Great Britain racer Adam Ellis backed Swindon to be in the SGB Premiership trophy hunt after signing for a third straight season.

The 22-year-old won the league title with the Robins in 2017 and produced another string of solid performances in the latest campaign.

The France-raised racer joins 2017 world champion Jason Doyle, Troy Batchelor and Tobiasz Musielak in a very promising side.

And Ellis is backing Robins to deliver on the shale next year. He said: “I think the team is looking great and, knowing what they’ve got planned for the final few signings, I don’t see any reason why we can’t be big challengers for trophies next year.

“On a personal note it’s great to be back. I feel I’ve steadily improved since I first joined Swindon but I want next season to be my best one for them yet.

“Consistency is something that’s important to me and being consistent at a slightly higher level is my main aim for next season.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge of getting used to a new track and I think that goes for all the boys in the team as well.”
